In this week’s brand-new episode, “Stage Fright,” a soap opera film crew descends on Grandview, turning the town upside-down. And they’ve brought a ghost with them. As Melinda unravels the mystery of the ghost’s identity and agenda, she unearths a story as soapy as the show it’s disrupting. To cross the ghost, Melinda and her friends are forced to return the favor, turning the show upside down.
This episode was written by Emmy winner Mark B. Perry (Picket Fences), and was directed by Emmy winner Eric Laneuville (I’ll Fly Away).
“Stage Fright” guest stars some of your favorite soap opera stars including Thad Luckinbill from The Young and the Restless, Lesli Kay from The Bold and the Beautiful and Amelia Heinle from The Young and the Restless (who is actually married to Luckinbill.) Also, Emmy nominee Kellie Martin (Life Goes On) is in this episode.
This is the second project that Kellie Martin and Jamie Kennedy have worked on together. Previously, Kellie co-starred in Jamie’s 2003 comedy, Malibu’s Most Wanted.
All these actors are awesome to work with and we are so happy that they were able to join us on set!
Interestingly, about 15 years ago Ian Sander produced a TV Movie (remember those?) entitled Sharing Richard, which starred three soap opera stars. It was a big hit for CBS.
